Sharon Russell has more than 30 years experience in health care, across different sectors of the public and private entities, both in New Zealand and the UK.

Currently working in Health New Zealand, initially as a physiotherapist and then moving into different leadership roles, her role is  wide and diverse,  across multiple professional groups who sit under the collective terminology  of Allied Health Scientific and Technical. Sharon currently sits on the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand Te Poari Tiaki Tinana o Aotearoa, the statutory body which sets standards, monitors and promotes competence for the proper conduct for the practice of physiotherapy in the interests of public health and safety.

Sharon is focussed on bringing her skills and experience to the not for profit sector to support local communities who have suffered from a neurological event, She is passionate about ensuring safe governance and practice whilst ensuring people can access rehabilitation to aid their wellbeing.
